It's a brand new year and a brand new edition of District Wins! Take a look at some of the special moments we'd like to share in The School District of Lee County.

We are proud to announce that our high school students have set yet another record high. The Florida Department of Education just released the 2019-2020 graduation rates and Lee County’s graduation rate increased 4.8% over the year before to 88.5%.

Alyssa Smith knew she wanted to be a teacher when she was just five years old. Now, in her sixth year at Tortuga Preserve Elementary, she's been named the Lee County Teacher of the Year. Watch to see her tearful reaction to the news.

The School District of Lee County is ready to open its first expanded Pre-K Center in January and applications are currently being accepted for students who wish to attend. More than 200 four-year old’s will be able to prepare for their K-12 education when the James Stephens Pre-K Center is fully operational.

We are excited to announce that Tortuga Preserve Elementary ESE Teacher Alyssa Smith is the District’s Teacher of the Year. Smith will now be nominated for Florida Teacher of the Year.

Crystal German is the first former LAMP (Lee Adolescent Mothers Program) student to return as a teacher.

We are proud to announce Rob Cooper, Principal at Bonita Springs Elementary School, is the Lee County's Principal of the year and Forrest Walker Jr., Assistant Principal at Dunbar High School, is Lee County's Assistant Principal of the year.
