Science Instructional Materials’ Adoption

The District School Board shall ensure that instructional materials used in the district are consistent with the district goals and objectives. The current adoption cycle of materials is reflected in the Florida Instructional Materials Adoption Schedule.

Town Hall Meetings will be held this spring throughout the School District. Each meeting will include remarks from a School Board Member, a question-and-answer session, and a presentation from Superintendent Dr. Denise Carlin about the School District priorities.

School District of Lee County Launches Safe Start Initiative

The School Board of Lee County approved the Safe Start Initiative bell times for the 2025-2026 school year starting in August at their April 8, 2025 action meeting. The Safe Start Initiative adjusts school start times to align with the School District’s priorities of safe schools and student achievement.
