Resiliency Reading List

The Florida Department of Education is encouraging students to escape into a good book, where they can meet role models, find hope, witness grit, and build their strengths.  This list of books can help increase resilience among students, from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve.

CPALMS Resiliency Toolkit

This toolkit was assembled by the Florida Department of Education to assist teachers in the development of more resilient and healthy students.  The instructional resources included in this toolkit will empower students as they develop resilience and character education skills to adapt to a variety of situations.  These lessons can also assist with instruction in health education topics included in the required instruction as per Rule 6A-1.094124.

Wellness Wednesdays

During the 2019-2020 school year, the State Board of Education passed rules related to health education impacting middle and high school students.  The District designates ten dates as Wellness Wednesdays to engage students in this learning.  The time set aside on each Wellness Wednesday provides students with tools to engage their learning and support our families in the development of the whole child.  Please review the Wellness Wednesday website to watch each month's video lesson and engage students in conversation about this learning.
