Career & Technical Education (CTE) consists of 16 different career clusters. Within each of these clusters are multiple programs that prepare individuals for occupations important to Florida’s economic development. The emphasis of Career and Technical Education in middle school is to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their future academic and occupational goals. Students develop leadership skills, communication skills, and employability skills through hands-on projects that mimic real-world on the job scenarios.
