This morning Veterans Park Academy for the Arts Helping Teacher Kevin Nobles was recognized as the Lee County School District’s School Related Employee of the 2017-2018 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Greg Adkins presented him with a plaque and Board Members and District personnel presented him with gifts donated by local businesses. “We are really proud of what you do,” the Superintendent told Kevin. “We are thankful you have been such an invaluable part of our team at Veterans Park Academy for the Arts and the School District.”
A large crowd of staff and students filled the school’s media room to surprise Kevin. “I am overwhelmed,” he says. “I am truly, truly blessed and truly humbled by this.” VPPA Principal Laura Stanford told him she is, “proud to work alongside such an amazing professional.”
Kevin has been at VPPA for six years and his primary role is to help with the Social Communication Classroom, but he is known around school as the first person to respond when someone needs help. He also leads the Agriculture Club where he teaches the students gardening skills and spruces up the school’s landscaping. Kevin and his wife Beverly, a teacher at VPPA, run the school’s Ignite program. They inspire the students to live their lives in a positive and spiritual manner so they can grow up to be positive influences.
