This is the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new Amanecer Elementary School in Lehigh Acres. The school will be welcoming their new students in August 2023, and is going to be the school district’s first Cambridge Primary Center.

The School District of Lee County is proud to announce that Harns Marsh Middle School Teacher Steven McGinley is the Florida Department of Education’s 2023 Outstanding Teacher Leader.

We are expanding new teacher orientation to include increased training. About 300 teachers new to the District will attend a seven day long New Teacher Training Camp at the end of July.

Every student in the District’s 82 traditional schools and four special centers will be served breakfast and lunch at no charge.
