You already know Mariner High senior Ryleigh Acosta is a soccer star, but you may not know she has high marks in the classroom too. She also has big goals to stay in the sport as long as she can when she stops playing.

The grant will allow the District to add or expand career programs that provide students the essential skills required for success in high-demand occupations.

Registration is now open for families who wish to enroll their children in summer Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) classes. To qualify students must be five years old by September 1st and have not have already accessed a VPK program.

The School District of Lee County, with support from Lee County Parks & Recreation and Special Olympics Florida, will host unified track meets for middle school students and high school students on February 14th and 15th. More than 500 students will compete during the two-day event.
