Parent University
Our Vision is to be a World Class School System

What is Parent University?

Parent University was created to increase the capacity of parents and guardians to be actively engaged in their child's education. This is the fourth year that the School District of Lee County is providing Parent University.

Goal

The goal of the program is to inform and engage parents and guardians as partners, advocates, and lifelong teachers in their child's education through a series of educational courses.

Learning Sessions

The School District of Lee County is excited to announce that Parent University will hold five sessions in front of a live audience for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents and community members are invited to attend each session to learn more about the School District and become partners, advocates, and lifelong teachers in their child's education. Parents will earn a certificate of completion for each Parent University learning session they attend.

  • Attend an in-person session
  • Participate in follow-up survey
  • Earn Certificate of Completion armed with knowledge to support your child's education
  • New this year: the school with the highest participation will be rewarded with an on-site reception.
