Delina Caldwell’s 3rd-5th grade gifted class at River Hall are studying the stars and planets. The students have learned how the constellations got their names and have each made a constellation artwork. They have studied the movement of the earth and planets, with a globe. They are learning the order of the planets, and which are inner and outer planets. They made a Human Constellation of themselves on the floor. The students also have done research on astronauts who have Hispanic heritage in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month in September. They have acquired more knowledge and understanding of the universe with this project.
