Did you Know?

  • Every 10 years since 1790, the federal government conducts a population count of everyone living in the United States. 
  • Data from the census provides the basis for distributing more than $675 billion in federal funds to communities across the country.
  • With only 74% counted in Florida in 2010, the state lost $946 for every uncounted Floridian.

Why Does the Census Matter?

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting to fill hundreds of thousands of temporary positions across the country to assist with the 2020 Census count.

The 2020 Census questionnaire asks a few  simple questions like the age, sex and the number of people living in your home. You can respond online, by phone or by email. Responses are confidental and cannot be used against you in court.
