Experience Credit: All verified and accepted years of experience in Florida public schools districts shall be recognized for salary credit. *A total of twenty (20) years of combined in- and out-of-state teaching experience shall be recognized for salary credit.
To receive Experience Credit, employees must submit a “Work Experience Verification Form” to be reviewed by Human Resources Operations. Once this form is received and approved, employees will be able to view their experience credit on the Employee Current Compensation page in PeopleSoft.
*The following Special Instructional positions have a starting salary of $58,010.00: Athletic Trainer, School Counselor, School Social Worker, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), School Nurse (RN), School Psychologist, Licensed Mental health Professional, and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Special Instructional work experience credit will not increase starting salary.
