The goal of the Psychological and Social Work Services Department is to support the School District of Lee County's Envision 2030 Strategic Plan for fulfilling our vision to be a World-Class School System.

The School District of Lee County has 113 School Psychologists and Social Workers who provide services to all of our district schools, Pre-k through 12th grade.  Psychologists and Social Workers provide comprehensive services including consultative and direct services to students, families, and school staff, addressing the physical, social, emotional, behavioral, learning and mental health needs of students.

Psychologists and Social Workers are members of School Based Mental Health Teams and Student Threat Assessment Teams. All student services professional disciplines (i.e School Social Workers, School Psychologists, School Counselors and School Nurses) share common areas of focus and common goals for all students and their families. Some of these common areas include attendance, student engagement, positive school climate, drop out and child abuse prevention, mental health services, early warning systems, accommodations for individuals with disabilities, graduation, suicide, crisis prevention and response, drug abuse, bullying and threat assessment. Each discipline provides essential unique contributions in a coordinated effort to maximize the effectiveness of services to students.
