Lifelong Learning Classes FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for a class? (1) Click on a class in the left-hand column. (2) View description. (3) Choose a class. Click "Register Now." We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover credit and debit cards. Seats fill up quickly so register today!

NOTE: classes MUST meet a minimum enrollment (usually 9 participants) or they will be postponed or canceled. Canceled classes will be issued full refunds via the original payment.

How do you contact me with important class information? Participants are contacted via email. It is important to register using a current email address that you check daily for important class changes, cancellations, and announcements.

How do I know that the registration process worked? Participants will receive a registration confirmation email from Eventbrite/Lifelong Learning Classes. Hold onto this email for future reference.

What if the class fills up? Seats for each class are determined on a first come, first served basis until classroom capacity is met, then the class is full. At this point, you may add your name to the waiting list. If a seat opens up, we alert the top spot on the waiting list first. If demand is great, we will do our best to add another class.

What if a class is canceled? Classes are primarily canceled due to insufficient enrollment. However, the Lee County School District reserves the right to cancel any class, for any reason, at any time.

On the rare occasion that the instructor cannot be there, you will be notified via email and a makeup class will be arranged. Please be sure to register with a current email address.

What is the age requirement? Unless otherwise noted, participants must be, at least, eighteen years old. Only registered students are allowed to be in the classrooms. We do not provide childcare.

How do I get a refund? Refund requests must be submitted via Eventbrite class confirmation email, 24 hours before the start of class. Eventbrite registration fees (approximately $5) are non-refundable unless the class is canceled. Classes canceled due to insufficient enrollment will be fully refunded. The participant is responsible for their own supplies and textbook refunds.  Refunds are not issued for missed classes and classes are not prorated for late registrations.

Do I need supplies or a textbook?  Courses vary from one to the next. Check the Course Descriptions' page and also the Eventbrite registration page for specific details.
