Ten School Administrators Chosen for State Leadership Program

The School District of Lee County is proud to congratulate ten school administrators chosen to take part in the 2022-2023 Florida Collaborative Leadership for All Student’s Success (FL-CLASS) program. The FL-CLASS Program, sponsored by the Florida Department of Education, is a professional learning opportunity for school administrators to grow their leadership skills and foster impactful learning outcomes for teachers and students.

Chosen for the program are:

  • James Stephens Elementary Principal Kelly Stedman and Assistant Principal Jacqueline Fantasia
  • Lehigh Senior High School Principal Jackie Corey and Assistant Principal Susan Souza
  • Ray V. Pottorf Elementary Principal Brandy Macchia and Assistant Principal Angela McCaslin
  • Tice Elementary Principal Cherise Trent and Assistant Principal Katie Riemenschneider
  • School Development Executive Director Linda Maere
  • School Development Executive Director Dr. Marsha Bur

“The School District of Lee County is proud to recognize these outstanding leaders,” says Chief Academic Officer Dr. Jeff Spiro. “The Leadership Collaborative is an important step in their professional development journey. We know their participation will not only benefit them professionally, but their learning will continue to give back to the students and educators in Lee County for years to come.”

The FL-CLASS Program consists of a series of in-person and virtual learning opportunities. The Program begins in November 2022 and concludes in June 2023. The program provides job-embedded, research-based learning across the leadership continuum. Educational leaders will create a statewide vision for instructional leadership, develop skills to promote educator growth and retention, and develop a deep knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards with a focus on leading for literacy.

Only 200 educational leaders across the state of Florida are being invited to participate.
