We are proud to congratulate Ana Lamotta for being selected as the APPLES Mentor of the Year. Lamotta is a peer collaborative teacher at Hector A. Cafferata Jr. Elementary School.

The results show that 48% of all third graders in Lee County public and charter schools, regardless of how long they have been with the District, were proficient in Grade 3 reading, scoring Level 3 or above.

Nicole Schofield has been teaching at Harns Marsh Elementary for ten years. Her connection with her students goes beyond the classroom.

It looks like our Volunteer of the Year at Dunbar High School, has also been named the Lee County School District Volunteer of the Year!

The District is proud to announce that it has approved new collective bargaining agreements that give teachers up to $5,000 in bonus pay from the District and increase starting pay for bus drivers to the third highest rate in Florida.

This amazing event was organized by our Recruitment Department. We had 78 schools participate, hundreds of attendees, and over 140 offers extended.

A community meeting to update the plans for the rebuilding of Franklin Park Elementary School is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the school’s cafeteria.
