XELLO Connects Students to College and Career Opportunities

If your student hasn’t said anything about using XELLO yet, they soon will. And there will be a chance for you to join them. XELLO is the only K-12 online program that fully engages every student in building the skills, knowledge, and plans for future success.

Middle school students were first introduced to XELLO last school year so they could start thinking about high school and planning for college and career. All students are being introduced to the program this year, with a special emphasis on high school juniors so they can use it to submit college applications. The parent portal launches next month.

XELLO provides grade level appropriate lessons to equip all students with the knowledge, real-world skills, and planning capabilities to navigate their future. For kindergarten through second grade, students learn about the meaning of careers and what goes into choosing one. In third through fifth grade, students build self-knowledge, explore career options, set goals, and develop critical thinking skills. For middle and high school students the focus is on personalized student portfolios, vibrant career and college profiles, interactive planning tools, and building skills employers value. They have access to:

  • Career Matchmaking Assessments
  • Skills Lab Assessment
  • Learning Styles Assessment
  • Career Profiles & Interviews
  • Career Clusters
  • Volunteer & Experience Hour Tracking
  • Resume Builders
  • Work-Based Learning Opportunities
  • Four-Year Course Planner
  • Long-term Planner

The School District is being provided with this program at no cost. Students can access XELLO through the launchpad on their Chromebooks. Parents will get an email with instructions to set up their accounts.
