School Board Member Earns FSBA Advanced Certified Distinction

The Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) is proud to recognize Debbie Jordan, Lee County School Board Member, as an Advanced Certified Board Member (CBM).

To earn the initial distinction of a CBM, members must complete 96 hours of training in areas such as policy, school finance, and bargaining. The advanced distinction is awarded to Certified Board Members who earn 30 or more points during their renewal period in a calendar year. This honor recognizes board members who continue to deepen their expertise and lead with distinction

“I am proud to recognize Debbie as an Advanced Certified Board Member,” FSBA Leadership Services Director, Tina Pinkoson stated. “Since her election in 2018, Debbie has shown a willingness and desire to learn.”

The Certified Board Member (CBM) Distinction is one of several professional development programs offered by the Florida School Boards Association to ensure board members obtain well-rounded and thorough understanding of his or her policy-making job responsibilities.

The Florida School Boards Association is the professional association for school boards in Florida. The mission of FSBA is to increase student achievement through the development of effective school board leadership and advocacy for public education.
