The School District of Lee County extends its gratitude to the parents and community members who attended last night’s Town Hall Meeting at Cape Coral High School. Those in attendance learned more about the School District’s priorities and had the opportunity to ask questions relating to their child’s education.
Five more Town Hall Meetings will be held this spring throughout the School District. Each meeting will include remarks from a School Board Member, a question-and-answer session, and a presentation from Superintendent Dr. Denise Carlin about the School District priorities:
- Ensuring safe and secure schools
- Increasing student achievement
- Expanding technical education opportunities
- Increasing teacher retention and recruitment
- Ensuring fiscal responsibility
- Empowering parents as partners in education

Parents are encouraged to attend any Town Hall convenient to them. Notification emails will be sent to parents prior to each meeting reminding them of the day, time, and place. The email will also allow them to submit questions in advance that may be included in the Q&A portion of the Town Hall.
