Gateway High senior Christopher "Dru" Davis is a two sport athlete already living the life of a college student. Davis takes college level courses while playing basketball and football at a high level leading his teams to success.

The School District of Lee County is excited to announce that Harns Marsh Middle School teacher Barbara Rebeor is the 2025 Lee County Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Denise Carlin, Board members, District administrators and school staff surprised Rebeor Wednesday, December 18 with her award.

The event brought together over 425 school board members, superintendents, and educational leaders from across the state for four days of collaboration, learning, and inspiration under the theme “Game Changers.”

Cape Coral High's Daniel Lynn is one of 13 high school bowlers that represented Lee County in the FHSAA State Tournament. Lynn won the whole thing in an uphill climb including going against a Mariner High bowler in the semifinals. The School District of Lee County is proud to announce it has won a Suncoast EMMY® Award for Hurricane Ian - A LeeSchoolsTV Documentary. Multimedia Coordinator Adam Wright and Senior Multimedia Specialist Rylie Spicker were presented their award at the 48th Annual Suncoast Regional EMMY® Awards on Saturday in Orlando.
