The Organizational Development and Retention Department for the School District of Lee County is proud to announce the successful hosting of Get Ready! Get Set… Go Teach!, a dynamic learning event designed to equip new teachers with the tools they need to thrive in the classroom.
The two-day event focused on essential topics such as classroom management and relationship-building, cornerstones of a positive and productive learning environment. These foundational strategies closely align with Marzano’s New Art and Science of Teaching and High Reliability Schools (HRS). Over 70 district schools have Level 1 or higher HRS certification.
The cohort of new educators included approximately 170 recent graduates from Colleges of Education, Career Changers, and participants in the Teacher Program Group (TPG) program. Organizers applaud their passion, commitment, and courage as they begin this important journey.
To promote long-term success, each new teacher will benefit from continuous support from their school sites, the School District, and community education partners. The Organizational Development and Retention Department, Suncoast Credit Union, The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, and the Teachers’ Association of Lee County will continue to champion these educators throughout the school year and beyond.
The School District is thrilled to welcome these newest teachers to Lee County. Their energy and dedication ensure they will make student success their top priority.
