“I am very grateful and proud to be recognized by the Florida Alliance for Arts Education,” Theresa West-Taylo says. “It came as a complete surprise at a difficult time for arts educators, so it was very uplifting! It has been gratifying to be recognized by a group of professionals I admire so much.”

West-Taylo teaches Art 1, 2, and 3 and Set Design to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at NFMMA. She also serves as the Arts Department Director for school, leading her team through reviews of the program, facilities and curriculum to improve student learning through the arts and instill pride in their skills.

The Florida Alliance for Arts Education recognizes leaders who work in various capacities to ensure that arts education is available in all Florida schools and communities and that arts education is of the highest quality.
