Manatee Elementary School and Orange River Elementary School are both recipients of the 2020-2021 Imagine Nation Beacon School Award. The awards are part of the Imagine Learning motivational programs used the by the schools to help students reach their highest potential.

At Orange River Elementary, the Imagine Math program is used by about 40 3rd to 5th grade students in need of support. They agree to complete at least an hour of extra work every week. The students earn rewards for making progress with a top prize awarded at the end of the year for the student who put in the most extra time.

“We are very proud of the efforts our students have made to increase math skills at home using the Imagine Math program,” says Orange River Principal Cayce Staruk. “We are very excited that these students have earned the Imagine Nation Beacon School award for 2020-2021.”

Students at Manatee Elementary use Imagine Learning Reading to accelerate reading and language proficiency. In Math, it is used as a supplemental tool to accelerate Math proficiency.

“This is an awesome award that is well deserved by both students and staff,” says Manatee Elementary Principal Dr. Scott LeMaster. “The award exemplifies enthusiasm and innovation and our students and staff have knocked it out of the ballpark in both areas. Our staff has worked hard with fidelity from the onset and their discipline is very impressive.”

More than 16,000 schools nationwide use the Imagine Learning programs Imagine Language & Literacy, Imagine Reading, Imagine Math 3+, Imagine Math PreK-2, Imagine Math Facts, and Imagine Español. Only 317 are being recognized for the exceptional use of the material.

“We are proud to present these achievements to schools across the nation,” said Jeremy Cowdrey, Chief Executive Officer at Imagine Learning. “These awards recognize the schools and students that have demonstrated exemplary usage of Imagine Learning programs and they are a true testament to the hard work and dedication of students and educators around the country.”

Both Manatee and Orange River were nominated by their Imagine Learning team for above-and-beyond enthusiasm and innovative use of Imagine Learning with their staff and student body. Both schools will soon receive an Imagine Learning banner that displays their achievement.
