The School District of Lee County is proud to partner with local organizations and community members to hold a Community Mask Drive in support our school heroes as they go back to face-to-face instruction. New, cloth masks will be collected at specified locations in designated School District mask bins from August 17th to August 28th. The masks will later be distributed to schools and the students who need them.

In consultation with health officials, the District has mandated the use of masks in an effort to promote the health and safety of our students and staff. Disposable masks will be provided by the District to those that need one. The Community Mask Drive is the result of specific requests to collect and distribute new, reusable cloth masks.

“We helped to organize this drive at the request of board members and community members who wanted to support students as they return to school,” says Community Engagement Coordinator Adam Molloy. “We know that wearing masks is one of the many things that will make school different this year, and this is just one way we can come together as a community to show our support for our students as they transition into this new normal. We are stronger together.”

Mask Information: New, cloth (reusable) masks only. Both youth and adult sizes are needed.

Drive and Drop Off Details: Starting August 17th, the two-week School District of Lee County Community Mask Drive kicks off at the Lee County Public Education Center. Masks can be dropped off in designated School District mask bins in front the lobby at 2855 Colonial Blvd. or any of the other following locations until August 28th.
