North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts (NFMAA), is celebrating its 10th anniversary performance of the Nutcracker Ballet at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall by inviting its dance alumni back to participate in the annual holiday performance on Friday, December 13th, 2019.

NFMAA is a kindergarten through eighth grade public school in the Lee County School District. After four years of producing and selling out multiple nights of the iconic holiday ballet at their own facility, the school needed to find a new venue to hold the large audience. In 2010, then Dance Director, Mrs. Linda Sammons, dreamed of moving the show to Barbara B. Mann Hall. With the help of the then principal, Dr. Douglas Santini and the North Fort Myers Arts Foundation, the dream became reality.

This year’s performance will celebrate 10 years of that dream. Now directed by Ms. Lori Madl and Mrs. Nicole Hoeberling, with support from Principal Dr. Thomas Millins and the Arts Foundation, former cast members are invited to join in the celebration with special parts for alumni. For more information, NFMAA dance alumni are asked to contact Mrs. Madl by email at loriam@leeschools.net

Proceeds from the NFMAA production of The Nutcracker Ballet benefit the North Fort Myers Arts Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which supports arts education programs at the school and the surrounding community.
