On Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m. the most outstanding singers in middle and high schools from across The School District of Lee County will participate in a joint chorus concert at Cape Coral High School.

The event will challenge singers and enhance their performance techniques, as only the very best of the District’s choral music programs will perform. Chorus teachers have selected their top vocalists to represent their schools. Students nominated for this event are recognized by their teachers for their musicianship and leadership.

J. Christine Lee will serve as the guest conductor for the high School chorus. Le is Director of Choral Activities at Olympia High School in Orlando. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the Orlando Choral Society, co-conductor of the Garden Community Choir and sings in the professional ensemble Voci del Cuore.

The middle school guest conductor is David Pletincks, the Choral Director at Powell Middle School Performing Arts Center in Spring Hill, Florida. Pletincks started his teacher career at Cape Coral High School and also spent five years at Paul Lawrence Dunbar Middle School. His Powell Middle School choirs have received the highest rating of “SUPERIOR” at the Florida Vocal Association music performance assessments for the past 14 years

The concert is open to the public at no charge. Tickets are not required. Cape Coral High School is located at 2300 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral.
