Back to School Rush

The School District of Lee County is partnering with the Florida Department of Health to sponsor the Back to School Rush on Saturday August 3rd. Students can get the immunizations, screenings and physicals they need to enroll, and then register for school.

“This is a great opportunity for new students and some returning students to get everything they need in one day to start school,” says Director of Positive Prevention Chuck Bradley. “We don’t want students to miss any time in class because they didn’t get the required shots, the necessary physicals, or enrolled on time.”

The Florida Department of Health is offering free back to school immunizations for all students up to 18 years old on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The Lee County Health Department is located at 3920 Michigan Ave. in Fort Myers.

The School District of Lee County’s Student Enrollment office will be also be open from 9:00am to 2:00pm on August 3rd for enrollment, health screenings and physicals. Physicals are being provided by local doctors through Lee Health on a first-come-first serve basis. The Student Enrollment office is in the Lee County Public Education Center at 2855 Colonia Blvd in Fort Myers.

Parents can find the information they need to enroll their children at the Student Enrollment web site.
