The School District of Lee County is excited to announce Three Oaks Elementary School is a winner of one of ten Burlington Stores’ Adopt My School Sweepstakes Grants through the national retailer’s partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. Teacher Kristen Turner’s nomination was one of the more than 10,000 submitted, and one of just ten chosen.

“We are thrilled to receive this amazing amount of money to support our classrooms – both for the students and our teachers!” says Principal Jody Moorhead. “We thank Mrs. Kristen Turner, our amazing fourth grade teacher, for taking the time to apply for this grant opportunity. We know that there are thousands of applicants from across the country, and because of this, we are even more grateful to be awarded this monetary gift.”

Representatives from Burlington will present the check to Three Oaks Elementary Principal Jody Moorhead during a schoolwide assembly at 8:15am on Tuesday, December 17th. Three Oaks Elementary School is located at 19600 Cypress View Dr. in Fort Myers.

Each teacher will get a portion of the $10,000 grant to shop for classroom supplies through AdoptAClassroom.org.
