The regularly scheduled Lee County School Board meeting for Tuesday, April 7th will proceed virtually on Zoom and the public can participate either through email or in person. The meeting will start at 1:00pm and be broadcast live on the School District’s YouTube channel.

Board members will join the meeting from a remote location through a secure sign in. Members of the public wishing to comment can do so in advance through email by following the instructions on BoardDocs. All email comments will be read by the Board Attorney into the official record.

The public can also comment on agenda items in person through the following process:

  • A line will form outside the LCPEC with six feet of separation between each speaker
  • One person at a time will be allowed into the boardroom
  • A laptop signed into the board meeting will be at the podium with the microphone open and camera on for them to comment
  • The Board Attorney will recognize the speaker so they can start and alert them when their time has expired.

After public comment, the meeting will proceed as usual, the minutes will be preserved, and the live video stored and available for viewing on YouTube.
