Learning Models for the 2020-2021 School Year

Learning Models for the 2020-2021 School Year

Since early June we have been working on creating options with the help of the PK-12 Education Pandemic Task Force made up of health professionals, community and business leaders, principals, teachers and students.

Recognizing that our parents value choice, we created four instructional models to meet the different needs of our families:

Face to Face*

Students return to school for face to face instruction five days a week with health and safety protocols in place.

*Distance Learning for students enrolling in face to face instruction must be implemented when the decision is made (in collaboration with location health officials) to shut down a classroom, a school or the District.

Lee Home Connect

Students are paired with a teacher from their school for at home, full-time online learning. This model will follow a traditional daily schedule that is more structured than the digital learning model that was used at the end of last year. Students can choose to return to their regular school at the end of each grading period or at principal discretion.

Students are enrolled in the District’s fulltime Home Education Program where the parent or guardian teaches the child at home.
