**NOTE** The District, including Student Enrollment is CLOSED Monday, January 18, 2021

Applications may be submitted online beginning on Monday, January 18, 2021 beginning at 12:01 a.m. est
Applications may be submitted in-person beginning January 19, 2021

Two Students drawing on paperWe accept registrations for new students to the District year round, but hold a Student Open Enrollment period for the upcoming school year once a year. Parents of incoming Kindergarten, 6th or 9th grade students should register during student open enrollment.

Letters for Online Registration with PIN Code

Letters containing the PIN code will be mailed between January 13 and 14 to:

  • current 5th grade students enrolled in a District public school.
  • current 8th grade students enrolled in a District public school.
  • current pre-kindergarten students enrolled in a District public school.
  • pre-registered incoming Kindergarten students. 

Parents will not receive a PIN code and will need to register by email ( if your child is a(n):

  • charter school student.
  • incoming Kindergarten student that DID NOT pre-register (even if a sibling attends a District school).
  • pre-kindergarten student attending VPK at a daycare or private school.

Registering by Email

  • Please include your child’s full name in the subject line.
  • Due to email size limitations paperwork may be split into multiple emails.

Please note: Due to high volume of emails, allow staff 72 hours to respond.

Registering in Person

  • One family member only (students do not need to be present)
  • Mask required
  • Capacity in waiting area is limited
  • Social distancing is practiced

Please Note: Due to high volume of visitors, you may have a long wait outside in the elements.

You may drop paperwork in a secure drop box located at the Student Enrollment entrance. Please place paperwork in an envelope with your child's name printed on the outside.

Advanced Programs

Students planning to apply for an advanced program (IB, Cambridge AICE, Arts, and FGCU Collegiate) still must participate in student open enrollment and obtain enrollment receipt or have received a sibling enrollment letter.  Advanced program applications are due to the schools by January 29, 2021.

Eligibility Pool (Wait List)

Students who participated in the Student Open Enrollment period and did not receive their top preference (middle or high) or one of their top three preferences (elementary) are on the eligibility pool (wait list) for first preference.

The eligibility pool:

  • is in effect mid-March until July 31st.
  • expires July 31st.
  • does not roll over to the next year.

If the student withdraws to attend a charter, virtual, private or homeschool, student is automatically removed from the list.


Please remember, the Student Enrollment Department cannot reach parents/guardians if contact information is missing or inaccurate.

Parent/Guardians are responsible for notifying the current school or Student Enrollment of any changes to telephone numbers or address.
