STEAM and Advanced Summer Enrichment Institute

The SDLC Summer Enrichment Institute is a comprehensive, fee-based summer program offering high-interest, rigorous coursework designed to allow eligible students to deepen their skills and explore new interests.

Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at designated "Hub" locations across the district. Since courses are repeated weekly/bi-weekly, we encourage students to sign up for a variety of offerings throughout the summer to maximize their exploration of different areas of interest.

The Summer Institute offers specialized tracks in a variety of areas, including:

  • Gifted/Advanced
  • Performing Arts and JROTC
  • Environmental, Science, and Math

Note: Prerequisites must be met for enrollment in the course.

Registration, Important Dates, and Pricing
Seats are not secured until payment is confirmed. Select payment method (Step Up for Students/EMA or School Cash Online) in the registration form.
Registration Opens March 30, 2026
Early Bird Rate $125 per child, per class March 30 to April 17, 2026
General Registration $150 per child, per class April 18 to May 11, 2026
Registration Closes May 11, 2026

Enrollment requires formal registration and payment of a per-course fee. All fees are non-refundable.

Student Conduct and Behavior

  • All students participating in the Summer Enrichment Institute must adhere to the School District of Lee County Student Code of Conduct. The district maintains a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior in all fee-based programs.
  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or persistent disruptive behavior. The Program Manager and Site Administration reserve the right to remove any student from the program whose behavior interferes with the learning environment. In the event of a behavioral dismissal, no refunds will be issued.
  • Students participating in tracks requiring significant engagement with technology must follow all district Electronic Media & Technology Acceptable Use guidelines.

Drop-off & Pick-up (also see Authorized Pick-up Policy section of registration form)

  • Drop-off is from 7:50-8:00 A.M.
  • Pick-up times vary by course; see confirmation email for details.
  • Transportation is NOT provided.
