Opening at a Tempory Site August of 2026

Elementary L is the School District’s newest elementary school. It will open in August 2026 in a temporary campus at 900 Gunnery Rd. North in Lehigh Acres, between Lehigh Senior High School and Varsity Lakes Middle School. Construction of the new school will start in 2027 and finish in time to welcome 1,000 students in August of 2028. The permanent campus location is 17250 State Road 82 in Lehigh Acres. A middle school is also planned to open at the same location in 2028, and a high school is expected to follow in 2032.

Elementary L Naming Survey

Naming a school is more than choosing words, it’s about creating an identity that reflects the school’s values, vision, and community spirit. A well-chosen name inspires pride, fosters connection, and sets the tone for the learning environment. It becomes the foundation for a strong brand that students, families, and staff can rally behind for generations to come. We invite parents, students, and our community to help us name our new school and be part of creating a lasting legacy that reflects our community’s spirit and values.

The three finalists in alphabetical order are:

• Bright Elementary
• Green Meadow Elementary
• Lucky Lee Elementary

The survey for students, parents, and community members to rank their favorite choice is now available. Bright Elementary was selected to represent the student body. Green Meadow represents the road next to the school location on State Road 82. Lucky Lee is the name of the ranch that was developed into Lehigh Acres. The survey is open until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19th.
