Students from the Exceptional Student Education program roamed the school halls of Cape Elementary looking for a sweet treat, all while learning interactive and communication skills.

Welcome to the Flock Shop, a student-run spirit wear store that operates out of Cape Coral High's Marketing Applications classroom. Students help design and produce merchandise as well as run the cash register and track sales in QuickBooks, giving them a real-life lesson in operating a small business. To celebrate Unity Day, Challenger Middle School hosted a Unified Basketball game against Mariner Middle School. Students and staff had a wonderful time!

The School District of Lee County is excited to launch the naming process for two new schools. Suggestions are currently being accepted for a new high school in Alva and a new elementary school in Lehigh Acres. Both schools are supported by the half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2018 and help to alleviate overcrowding in East Region schools.

South Fort Myers High's Sophia Vento is familiar with being Student Athlete of the Month, but for a different organization. On the volleyball court, she shows powerful leadership through kindness and sets up teammates for points.

The School District of Lee County is excited to announce a charitable gift of $301,600 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. The donation will help furnish on-site childcare centers across the School District, creating safe and welcoming spaces for young learners.

The Workforce Development Capitalization Incentive Program (Workforce CAP) is designed to expand workforce education programs with a focus on in-demand industries and aligns with the School District’s priority to expand technical education opportunities for our students.

Students at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School now have the opportunity to learn and cook from an experienced chef with their brand new culinary program.

When the touring show Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown comes to the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on Monday, March 23, the North Fort Myers High School String Quartet will join the professional musicians on stage to lend some local talent to this homage to the British Invasion.
