The Florida standards are in place to help students succeed in English Language Arts (ELA) (grades 3  - 10), Mathematics (grades 3 - 8), and end-of-course (EOC) subjects (Algebra 1 and Geometry). The standards measure student gains and losses.

Governor Ron Desantis issued Executive Order 19-32.  This order requires a review of the academic standards for Florida’s kindergarten through grade twelve students.  Revision recommendations will be provided to the governor by January 1, 2020.
