Adobe Illustrator

Looking to self-promote? Trying to create modern, stunning marketing materials? Well, Adobe Illustrator is for you. Adobe Photoshop

Everything looks better with Photoshop!!! Learn how to enhance your photos and so much more! This beginner level course will help you navigate Adobe Photoshop and learn the fundamentals of working in this powerful graphic and image editor.

Computer Basics

Computer Basics will make you a friend of technology. The class will cover the following:

  1. Operating computer (turning it on, etc.)Windows vs. Apple
  2. Logins and passwords
  3. Privacy/Safety/Spam
  4. File management (archiving, categorizing)
  5. Email (sending, saving, categorizing, attaching, etc.)
  6. Using social media
  7. Basic photo skills, like where to save, how to attach, how to open
  8. Buying on the internet—how to be safe
  9. Don’t get hacked!
  10. Connecting with other devices
  11. Saving files (external drives and clouds)

Cybersecurity--Parental Controls

This Cybersecurity course will introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of cybersecurity by discussing the evolution of information security into cybersecurity, cybersecurity theory, and the relationship of cybersecurity to nations, businesses, society, and people. Students will be exposed to multiple cybersecurity technologies, processes, and procedures, learn how to analyze the threats, vulnerabilities and risks present in these environments, and develop appropriate strategies to mitigate potential cybersecurity problems.

This beginner to intermediate class will give participants the skills to better navigate Excel in order to enhance your personal and professional skills’ base. The class will cover the following:

  5. Managing Worksheets
  6. Printing
  7. Formatting Data and Cells

Microsoft Office

This introduction to Office will give participants the tools they need to navigate this limitless platform. The instructor will cover some of the applications more in-depth than others (i.e.: Word and Outlook will be covered more in-depth than Note). The class will cover the following:

  4. PowerPoint
  5. Note
  6. Navigating the ribbons and menus
  7. Creating folders
  8. Organizing files
  9. Sending and receiving messages
  10. Attaching files in emails
  11. Composting and editing a document
  12. Creating visual marketing materials
  13. Creating a slides presentation

QuickBooks Desktop

This course is designed for the beginner to intermediate and will give practical guidance on how to use QuickBooks Desktop in order to manage transactions, clients, communications, and other needs of a small business. Students have the option of buying a textbook/guide for $45 as a resource to use beyond the classroom experience. Please contact andreambu@leeschools.net if you would like to purchase the book. Bring cash or check on the first night of school.

QuickBooks Online Accountant 2018 for Beginners

This course is designed for the beginner to intermediate and will give practical guidance on how to use QuickBooks Online Accountant 2018 in order to manage transactions, clients, communications, and other needs of a small business. Participants will be using a 1-year FREE QuickBooks online student trial. After ONE YEAR, students will need to purchase QB Essentials or higher in order to keep their files which is currently $35/month. Students have the option of buying a textbook/guide for $55 as a resource to use beyond the classroom experience. Please contact andreambu@leeschools.net if you would like to purchase the book. Web Design

Learn how to create an effective and attractive website. The instructor will walk you through the necessary steps using the latest software in order to build a professional website. The instructor will mostly use HTML and CSS and will perhaps touch upon JavaScript at the tailend of the course.
