Director, Early Childhood Learning Services

As the Director of Early Childhood Learning Services, you will provide leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and daily operations of early childhood programs in a safe and cost-effective manner that meets the special needs of young children and supports the goals of the District. 

Minimum Career Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with certification in educational leadership, administration/supervision, or related area of responsibility.
  • Seven (7) years of administrative experience with progressively responsible duties in an area related to intervention program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple business/department functions and staff in an upper-level leadership capacity preferred.
  • Industry certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred

Essential Career Functions

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the District’s grant- and state-funded early childhood programs to include Head Start, Early Head Start, the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program, and fee-based opportunities.
  • Provide instructional and managerial leadership for the Lee Adolescent Mothers’ Program (LAMP).
  • Ensure compliance with District, state, and federal reporting requirements related to early childhood programs.
  • Ensure fiscal integrity of the District’s early childhood programs.
  • Collect and utilize evaluation data to maintain, correct, and/or improve the delivery of District early childhood program services to increase student achievement and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise assigned personnel, conduct annual performance appraisals, and recommend appropriate employment actions.
  • Coordinate and promote high expectations for learning to all stakeholders.
  • Partner with community agencies and early childhood education programs to maximize services to young children and families. 

Base Salary:  $99,184.80
