TALK15 - Parent Media Campaign
TALK15 is a Lee County Schools prevention initiative funded through a partnership with the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee. TALK15 is a marketing campaign that seeks to educate parents on teen alcohol and drug use.
Adults and parents have a big impact on whether or not their kids drink or do drugs. Studies have shown that parents have a significant influence on young people’s decisions about alcohol consumption, especially when parents create supportive and nurturing environments. The earlier adults and parents talk to their children about alcohol, the greater chance they have of positively influencing their child’s decision about drug use.
