Participants will learn how to become more collaborative IEP team members by identifying barriers to collaborative IEP meetings, and learning strategies to become proficient at "facilitative" behaviors, ways to identify and resolve core issues and the fundamentals of effective communication skills.  Consensus building skills and the use of effective communication skills in mock IEP team meeting will be practiced.
