Island Coast High School is excited to announce the appointment of Robinson Louisme as Boys’ Head Basketball Coach for the Gators.

Coach Louisme is no stranger to Southwest Florida basketball. He played for Fort Myers High School and was a two-time All-State selection, and News-Press Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004. Coach Louisme was the Varsity Assistant Coach at Island Coast this past year where he displayed an impressive teaching ability.

“We are excited to have Coach Lousime lead the boys’ basketball program at Island Coast. He brings tremendous enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and great knowledge of the game that we feel will be beneficial to our student-athletes,” said Kristin Bueno, Island Coast Principal.

Coach Louisme is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans where he played collegiately from 2004 - 2009. He also played professionally in France, Germany and Ireland before returning to Lee County.

“I am extremely grateful for the confidence that Ms. Bueno and Mr. Thimlar (Athletic Director) have placed in me and I look forward to the challenges ahead. The players at Island Coast have been great to work with and I see only good things for everyone in the future,” said Coach Louisme.
