Lee County Public Schools is the
ninth-largest district in
Florida and one of the 50
largest school districts in the
United States. We proudly
educate approximately 80,000
students in grades K-12. We are
the county’s largest employer,
with approximately 11,500 full-
and part-time employees.
The School Public Accountability
Reports (SPAR) are available for
review at all Lee County public schools.
The reports may also be viewed at the
District’s Communications Department at
the Lee County Public Education Center,
2855 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida.
Like school districts across America,
Lee County Public Schools has procedures
in place to address the H1N1 (Swine) Flu
situation. Our District has a Pandemic
Plan in place, which had portions of it
implemented successfully when LCPS was
one of the first districts in the U.S.
to shut a school due to cases of H1N1
Flu.
