The newly formed District Advisory Committee (DAC) has established an Executive Committee to assist in the work of the DAC and to aid in the development of effective local School Advisory Committees (SAC). 

Accordingly to facilitate the smooth flow of information from the SAC and interested citizens to the DAC, the Executive Committee has established the following protocol to aid all citizens in presenting items for review to the DAC.

We invite interested citizens, SAC(s) and their members to complete the attached “DAC Review / Request Form” and return to Susan Johnson, staff liaison for the DAC at SusanMJ@LeeSchools.Net. or mail to Susan Johnson at 2055 Central Ave. Fort Myers, Florida 33901.  Please return your forms as soon as possible to allow the Executive
Committee and the DAC opportunity to review and assist in meeting your objectives.

The review / request will be forwarded to the Executive Committee where it will be reviewed with recommendations made to the DAC for hearing or action.  The Executive Committee may make referrals to other departments, personnel or appropriate committees within the district to assist.  Be sure to include your contact information and phone number so the DAC Executive Committee may contact you personally to discuss the item listed on the review form.  The Executive Committee will review your DAC Review / Request Form and you will be advised in writing as to the disposition of your request.

The School Board shall establish a District Advisory Council. The Council membership shall consist of one representative from each District school as selected and appointed by the School Advisory Council. There will also be one principal representative from each level, selected and appointed by the principal groups. The District Advisory Council shall meet monthly at a time and location convenient to the members. The Superintendent shall assign no more than three staff members to act as liaisons with the District Advisory Council.
